101 things about me
So everyone seems to have their "101 things about me" list. I've been avoiding writing one up because I figured it would take me way too long to think up 101 things about myself. But it wasn't that hard. I got stuck about halfway through but then it was all downhill from there. So...lucky you...you get to read it today (or not, that's fine too lol).
Have a great day!
God bless : )
-
I was born in February
- My favorite color has always been purple.
- I like blue too, it’s a close second
- I am married to a wonderful man
- We don’t have any kids…yet
- We really want kids
- My biological clock ticks louder every day
- I work from home teaching Piano, Flute and Clarinet lessons
- I believe my musical talent is a God-given talent and I try to use that talent as often as I can to bring glory to Him.
- I love Jesus!
- My grandparents raised me
- My grandmother (aka mom) passed away when I was 19
- It was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to deal with, to date.
- I know she’s in Heaven
- My grandfather (aka dad) has a motorcycle and rides it all over town
- I have one younger brother, who did not live with me while I was growing up
- He’s a good kid
- I like to read
- I like to crochet
- …and quilt
- …and I’m trying to learn to knit, so I don’t quite love that yet
- I’m learning to play the trumpet
- Playing the trumpet is hard
- Turns out I don’t have enough “hot air” in me after all!
- We used to live in St. Louis
- My hubby proposed to me at the top of the Arch
- He still gets brownie points for that
- I’m not very good at returning phone calls
- I’m better about emailing
- I love my email
- One might say I’m a wee bit addicted (ask my husband)
- My favorite junk food is anything chocolate
- I’m terrified of tornadoes
- I have nightmares about tornadoes every so often.
- I was in a tornado once.
- It touched down across the street, skipped up over our house and hit the house behind us.
- We were without power for 2 days, since the utility pole was laying across our street.
- 100 year old trees were ripped out of the ground by their roots and looked like someone had just laid them down in the yard.
- That tornado was the loudest sound I have ever heard in all my life.
- I am the social director for our Sunday school class – my friend Jessi is too.
- Seth and I love the church we go to.
- It took us a long time to find a church we liked.
- We kept skipping over this one because it was “too big” and I’ve had bad experiences with big churches before.
- We finally decided to go one Sunday, and have been going there ever since
- We’re going to join there soon
- It’s close to our house now, but they’re building a new building that won’t be so close when they’re done
- That’s ok, we’ll still go there.
- I’m not very good at keeping up with current events
- I don’t like to watch the news.
- I’m really bad at keeping all the political mumbo jumbo straight.
- I’m pretty bad at geography too – don’t ask me where all those little underdeveloped countries are located. I don’t have the first clue.
- I feel like as Americans, we are really fortunate. Especially women.
- I feel like as Americans, we are really oblivious.
- I feel like as Americans, we are really arrogant.
- But I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. Go figure.
- I drink Diet Dr Pepper every day for breakfast. It’s my coffee.
- I am 110% addicted to caffeine.
- If I don’t drink it, I have a horrible headache
- Yes, I know this is not a good thing.
- I am too weak to avoid it.
- I’m having a hard time trying to think up 40 more things to put on this list.
- I’ve never gotten a ticket. For anything.
- It’s really just truly a miracle that I haven’t.
- I’m not the best driver.
- Sometimes I forget to wear my seatbelt.
- Sometimes I speed.
- Sometimes I have some serious road rage.
- People in this town drive like morons.
- Hence the road rage.
- But my husband is worse.
- I love Chinese food
- My favorite is Sesame Chicken
- I do not like seafood and I don’t eat it. Period.
- My favorite ice cream is an M&M blizzard from DQ
- I like double stuff oreos
- My favorite holiday is Easter
- I’d rather eat off of paper plates and use plastic cups than have to wash a dish
- I love to watch HGtv.
- My favorite show on there is House Hunters
- We bought our very first house in August 2004
- The previous owners did some crazy things that I’m always finding every now and then – still.
- We’ve lived in this town for 2 years
- I love it here
- It feels like home
- I have made 2 very good girlfriends from our church
- Their names are Jessi and Hope
- They might as well be my sisters.
- It’s funny, we lived in St Louis for 6 years and I didn’t have friends like these 2.
- I didn’t have many friends there at all.
- I was kind of lonely
- It was just us, hubby’s 2 sisters, their husbands and kids
- I never really invested in any friendships there.
- That baffles me a bit, because I’m a very social person – usually.
- I miss St. Louis – being in the city
- I have 7 nieces and nephews (Seth’s 2 sister’s kids combined)
- They both say that they are DONE and it’s now my turn lol
- Seth’s mom can’t wait till we have kids
- She thinks she’s going to get a red headed grandchild, since Seth has RED hair and I’m auburn
- Our kid doesn’t have a chance of not being fair skinned and freckled
- I can’t wait to have a family, even though I am scared to death of childbirth.
- I try to remember to put everything and every situation in God’s hands. After all, if it’s not His Will, then I don’t want it.
